Personality:
Brin likes pleasure. The kind of pleasure is entirely subjective to what she feels like at the time, what sort of emotional rollercoaster she's on, who the people are that she's hanging out with, how inebriated she is, etc. She doesn't have most of the boundaries that most people have in regards to where pleasure ends and other feelings, such as pain for example, begin.
Generally speaking, Brin likes to smile. This is both a symptom of the pleasure she has often just felt or is feeling, but at other times it is a manipulative gesture. Brin knows that smiling at people usually makes them more disposed to like you and thus possibly provide avenues of pleasure. Sometimes the smile slips. You can probably figure out why without my help.

Generally speaking, Brin will always be in her uniform. She's one of the few people, it seems, that don't mind being restricted in what she's allowed to wear. The one exception to that is scarves. When not in class, more often than not Brin will be wearing at least one scarf rather than the tie.

Description:
Brin is Geokinetic. Her talents lean more towards the manipulation of stone than soil, meaning that she can mainly manipulate stone and other mineral compositions into other shapes, such as making a rock formation into a statue or tunneling through a wall. Her abilities do not extend to moving earth or stone through the air, thus her limited control over soil, as almost every manipulation of soil involves it traveling through the air.

Drawbacks:
Her ability is extremely short range, so even though she can do almost anything to rock, she has to be able to physically touch it first. That means no drawing Magma to the surface or any such shenanigans, only moving rocks around that she touches.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

History:
Brin is rich. Really rich. It's a side effect of having an industrial mogul as a parent; there are very few ways to become poor without entering a self-destructive cycle when you have practically infinite funds channeling into your accounts from a doting parent. It led to some interesting situations in her childhood, but none that went so far that her cadre of bodyguards had to get involved. Of course, that was back when she had bodyguards.

*Ahem*

When she hit the double digits in terms of her age, her bodyguards had a harder and harder time keeping up with her, losing her for inexplicable reasons. She'd have been left in a room with her toys, and when a guard went in to see why she wasn't making any noise, they found that the room was empty, but none of the exits were disturbed. They reported every single event to her father, and eventually he set up video surveillance within his property, so that he could watch his child. No one else was allowed to see the records on grounds of privacy, and it was a good thing that he instituted that rule at the very beginning.

One day, he was watching one of the security tapes of the child's bedroom, since she had escaped during that time period and he wanted to know how she'd done it, when he saw her walk to the back corner of the room, to the wall that reversed into the garden and put her hand on it. He leaned closer to the screen, hardly believing what he was seeing, as her face scrunched up and the wall retreated from around her hand. There was no words to describe it. It was like it rolled up away from her touch. She ducked through it and out into the garden that he could see through the hole, and then the hole disappeared as if it had never been.

It was at that point that her and her father began to closet themselves in his office for long stretches of time, honing her abilities in secret while no one else on the estate knew what they were up to. At the same time, her father was desperately seeking others of her kind, to see if this was a freak occurrence, or if she could somehow be taught. After three years, he found it.

He enrolled her in the school after a lot of soul searching and private discussions with his daughter, until they both thoroughly understood the risks and benefits involved, and then she left, not to see him except on occasional holidays, otherwise committed totally to her studies. She's been there for the five years since.
