Name:
Simon Terenzio Narcis

Age:
15 years old.
Personality:
Frigid and calculative, Simon generally considers every move that he takes with the utmost caution. His decisions are often primarily set to ensure his safety and security in his positions in the world around him, although he doesn't fear death nor seek to avoid it out of any particular fear; simply that dying would be a waste, and he wouldn't be able to fully understand various subjects that he's bothered to adopt a curiosity for (even if these fascinations seem to change weekly, if not daily). In many ways, he sees his "subjects" as something more important than his own well being, because his life is incomplete and miniscule if he cannot alter himself to succeed. He wouldn't damage himself to reach a goal he could not yet accomplish immediately, but the theory on his mind would eventually turn from a fascination to something that he'd compose his every day around in attempts that increase in severity to dissect and understand - until he abruptly changes his mind to chase after yet another peculiar designation. A life with a true limit that cannot be overcome is a waste in his mind, even if the targets are completely unrealistic in nature.
Simon's never been seen smiling or frowning while being sincere, and some have come to believe that he's either extremely whimsical, or he simply has no care for anyone but himself (others believe that he's antisocial, but other behaviors that he exhibits suggest otherwise). In fact, these assumptions aren't exactly far from the truth. He's never been diagnosed as a true sociopath by any professional, yet Simon has all of the symptoms of a classic sociopath (his lack of diagnosis is simply because he's never actually bothered to visit a doctor). Living life with a seemingly reduced fear, lack of compassion, nonexistent empathy, and irresponsibly manipulative behavior, Simon's become well known in his hometown for being a trouble maker, and the mastermind behind almost all criminal activity that the youth expresses. The difficulty is catching him in the act, for even the words that begin the situation can rarely be associated with action, let alone the events that string together because of the actions taken. Half of the time, he seems to genuinely not have meant to cause such a crime in the minds of others, that is, until confronted. After being confronted, he generally tells the entire truth - every single detail, without much concern for actions that may be taken against him.
Almost always melancholy, it's rare when someone can manage a conversation with Simon that he hasn't orchestrated himself, let alone get close enough to witness the quirks in his behavior. He's seemingly extremely intelligent, but Simon's managed to confuse those who have managed to squeeze past the antisocial actions and other obstacles that he's put out intentionally or not, with some of the most unrealistic goals that anyone could think would have come to mind. In fact, these goals are miniscule in nature, but they seem almost pathetic for one with such potential and the ability to understand so much. He also exhibits poor behavioral control in the most strange of situations, especially when control seems most needed, such as taking off a shoe and deciding to wave it in front of the noses of an already furious pack of vicious dogs. His excuse? He just wanted to know if they got his scent, and what they thought about it. He certainly can't smell himself as well as they do, so after he learned how to speak to dogs with the device he had at home, they could explain in detail - maybe. In fact, that probably was another lie he had given to the officer who found him hiding in a tree in the middle of a locked zone without any shoes.
Overall, Simon's impulsive, careless, cunning, manipulative, and has absolutely no guilt in any situation. He's considered that this may be due to an event that occurred in his past, but as far as he can remember, he's always felt this way - he also sees nothing wrong with his actions and behavior, just, questions himself when other people act as if he's malfunctioning in some way. In truth, he just doesn't care, and doesn't understand why people panic so much when faced with stress. What you can't feel can't bother you, and Simon definitely isn't bothered in the slightest. In fact, there's only three things that actively bother him - a lack of coffee, when others try to touch his scarf, and the fact that he can't wear his headphones in class. Oh, how truly bothersome. He's also been known to take extremely sick pleasure out of playing the game, "Simon Says", to the point where actually following his orders could leave someone badly injured - but they rarely have a choice in the matter (basically, most say no, walk away, and return later after a course of events to complete the designated action).
Position/Grade:
Student of the tenth grade.
Special Characteristics:
Aside from his generally frozen face, Simon carries a coffee cup everywhere he goes even when it's empty, his scarf which he's oddly extremely possessive about, and the headphones that are always either on his head or stashed away in a backpack so that it's not taken from him by some teacher or headmaster. In truth, there's very little about him that sets him apart from any other person on the street, and he appears to be about average in general. Very little attention is drawn to him, unless he's suddenly decided to play his charming card for whatever reason or another. Simon's also rather short, but also thin, so he's overall well proportionate, and often appears taller than he really is thanks to the fact that he hunches and has such lanky limbs.
Height:
65 inches, or 5'4 feet tall.
Weight:
95 pounds.
Ability:
Simon fits into the Psyche Gifted category, as a telekinetic individual. His peculiar behavior, mood swings, lack of any real goal, and general distance towards others has not only concealed his ability for the most part, but it has made his ability difficult to use, if not nonexistent. Being forced to utilize the ability for any purpose seems to have strange effects on Simon, and he seems to both dislike thinking of the skill, or thinking of it in any fashion. If he's forced for any reason to use his ability when he doesn't want to, he often begins an even sicker game of Simon Says, and after the event is over, he sometimes forgets what he's done, or simply doesn't seem to mind anymore (the reason is unknown, as well as whether or not he remembers, since he's never been confronted on this one). He can also only manage his skill for one fourth of the time that he could manage physical tasks, and utilizing the ability sends him into a state that seems abnormally psychotic for his already peculiar behavior (this state includes various emotional states that include laughing, playing games without prior encouragement, an increased rate of compulsive lying, and impulsive statements that seem to have no relation to the situation).
Description:
Simon's ability to move just about any object with his mind would probably be impressive in most people's books, and being that he's got other tricks in his mind, Simon seems relatively well equipped to manage himself in the world. In fact, Simon has extreme difficulty surviving alone, despite his tendency to be cunning and his ability to manipulate others in the manner that he does. His disability shows even further in his skill, as he's only able to manipulate a minimal range of five feet around him, at a weight range of one fourth of the amount that he can lift physically. The objects controlled can only move at one fourth of the speed that he can move at as well, making it difficult for Simon to even manage to catch the opponent with the utilized items.
Drawbacks:
Aside from the fact that Simon doesn't handle the use of his own ability well, there's further drawbacks that affect him both physically and mentally. If Simon uses the ability until the last post for the maximum holding for Endurance, Simon's body will deteriorate to the point where he can barely even crawl. If he uses the ability a single post past that, he will shut down and fall into a comatose state regardless of what he was lifting. For every two posts that he utilizes his skill, he also takes damage equal to half of his own power.

History:
The world has changed a lot for those that were alive during the times when these oddities were first discovered, and it seems that for most, the world will never fully recover back to the way it was before. However, for Simon, nothing has changed. He was born as an oddity, lived as an oddity, and has seen the rest of the world as nothing more than a piece of a larger puzzle - another silly oddity, which makes everything normal and common, because nothing seems unique. He doesn't seem the point of fighting to establish something "special" in the world since nothing and nobody else really seems particularly important. In some ways, it's almost made him feel as if fighting for anything is pointless, because he already has most of what he wants, and nothing else is special.
Regardless, despite his almost permanent state of mental mediocrity, Simon has found his reasons to stay intact in this world, and even managed to compose a relatively normal childhood. As an older brother to a relatively normal sister, Simon's parents did their best to manage their son's quirks without making it seem as if he was different, all while giving equal attention to their daughter. They believed that they could do a good job raising their children if they did things with adaptable fairness, so that neither would feel left out, and neither would feel as if they were odd. In fact, this system seemed to work relatively well for the group even though Simon acted far more calm than most until it was time for the young to leave for school.
Through the public system, Simon's oddities showed through plainly and clearly, and the other individuals there made it obvious that he was not just strange, he was alone. The experience wasn't necessarily painful for young Simon, but it was here that he learned that most people were sheep, or worse than even that - tools. He could tell them what he thought, experience a mild counter, then use their own counter to counter. It became something that was almost too fun for him to toy with, and the teacher's insisting that he behave properly only made his games seem more fun. Unfortunately, there wasn't much that his parents could do, despite the fact that they often relocated to try and find a better system, or spoke directly with the authorities to explain the situation and ask for help. Overall, they felt cornered, and that there was little they could to prevent their son from living through hardship.
Sadly, that was exactly what Simon endured, until he was three months past twelve. There was another child in the school he went to that saw fit to tease him for his peculiar behavior. Simon saw nothing wrong with the other boy's attempts - he was just another patch of slime trying to state his authority before it was consumed by the systems of the world. When the boy took to tugging on his hair, kicking him so that he spilled his drink, and making fun of his name, Simon took matters officially into his own hands with a deadly game of Simon Says that involved all spectators. While not everyone's certain what happened, it's well known that the end involved the end of the boy who decided to tease him, directly or indirectly.
The game supposedly consumed most of his day, and Simon rather enjoyed himself, along with the children who weren't quite sure of what was happening and thought it was a mere game. The boy who teased him knew quite that there was no leaving this game - it was composed of dares, and a test of wills, rather than the everyday playground gag. If he walked away, he would lose, so he stayed to compete and brutally lost. Only one other girl (Simon's sister) stayed through the finish of the game, as the rest got tired and lost interest in standing on one foot, holding their noses, and barking like a dog, and she has unfortunately refused to even tell her own parents what she saw during that hour. It's believed that Simon asked the boy to get lost, or walk in front of a car, because the child was found the next day in the streets after intentionally running into traffic on one of the main streets.
The parents of the boy were grief stricken, and all attempts to press Simon for information also failed, since his comments amounted to "He was a sad boy, and that's why he teased me. Tell me, is everything fine at home? I don't think he really lived around a peaceful environment." Simon's sister also refuses to comment on the situation, but often gives Simon weary glances as if she now fears him, and never wanders alone in his presence. In truth, Simon had taken his first steps to utilizing his telekinesis that day, and had convinced the boy to walk to the edge of the street, that he wasn't worth his time, and then after displaying clearly how he could manipulate the other kid's limbs, the bully jumped into traffic himself so that his last action would be his own, instead of Simon's once again. Simon sees nothing wrong with this - it was manipulation at its best, and he won the game. The deal was that if he could get through one game of Simon says, he'd never be bothered again by the kid, anyway.
Since then, his telekinesis has been displayed a few more times, and with his parents well aware of the fact that his sister was afraid of him, they sought to find a situation where he could live in a place where people would be able to help him best, and the best way to protect his sister without her feeling that they just gave up on their son. The process of searching took years, and a lot more struggles, but they finally managed to contact the Cluskio Academy, and hope that the staff members there will know how to handle Simon's peculiar state, mold him into a better person, and hopefully not at a price that will bankrupt them. To this day, they are still loving, sending him plenty of funds for his coffee, and his sister left him well equipped with the scarf and sound system she used to tote around during her elementary years.
